A house conceived in response to a particularly demanding programme and to the specific needs of its owner. The layout follows the natural slope of the site, articulating different levels and volumes that give rise to a succession of outdoor spaces, extending and complementing the interior uses. The building’s volumetric composition both organizes and shelters these spaces, establishing a dynamic relationship between the house and its surroundings, while corten steel, adopted as the dominant material element, lends unity and identity to the whole. Security and privacy, considered from the outset in defining the layout, also structure the relationship between the house, its surroundings and the outdoor spaces that integrate it.
